The Rules

Every month during the school year, there will be a problem.  If you think you have a solution, write it up!  Keep in mind, however, being the first person to turn in a solution doesn’t guarantee that you’ll win: the winning solution will be based on who has the best solution.  Having the right answer doesn’t guarantee a win either.  We’re not just looking at whether your answer is right, but also at how clever your argument is.  So here’s your chance to impress us with your cleverousity!

Solutions can be submitted to Dr. Don Vestal in Harding 121 or Dr. Donna Flint in Harding 104 (or to the Mathematics office in Harding 100) by the last day of the month.  Legible solutions are preferable (if we can’t read it, we can’t judge it!).

The Opportunities

Got an idea for a math problem?   We’re always looking for new problems.  If you have a good math problem, just submit it to Dr. Don Vestal in Harding 121 and we just might use it (if it meets our standards, of course!).
