Student Opportunities
Throughout the course of your academic career at SDSU, you will have the following opportunities:
- Alpha Psi Omega(APO) is a national honorary theatre fraternity. Members annually produce, CAPERS, a campus-wide variety show. APO also travels to New York City where students attend workshops, tour Broadway theatres, and see numerous Broadway performances.
- Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival (KCACTF) is a national theatre education program that indentifies and promotes quality in college level theatre productions. Students selected to participate in ACTF are eligible for awards, scholarships, and special grants.
- United States Institute for Theatre Technology (USITT) is an organization dedicated to the professional development in technical aspects of theatre. Students from SDSU may attend USITT’s Annual Conference and Stage Exposition where they participate in workshops and network with other students and professionals.
- Students may earn up to 12 credits of internship while working with professional theatres or specialized theatre programs.
