• Create an accurate reflection of yourself. Advisors, administrators and Cooperating teachers read this statement (essay) to determine whether or not they will accept you as a student teacher in their school system.
• Express an interest in your subject area (why you find it interesting)
• Mention extra curricular activities, but make sure your application is a reflection of your goals to teach as well as coach
• As someone who has good writing skills to double check your work. Use spell check, but remember the computer doesn't correct grammar or usage errors.
