BROOKINGS CAMPUS During the clinical sequence nursing students practice in Brookings and several surrounding communities including Sioux Falls, Watertown and a number of county agencies. While practicing off campus, most students will commute from Brookings and in most cases can continue to use Student Health Clinic for health care. In the rare event that the student requires health care while off-campus the SDSU Health Clinic may provide partial reimbursement. Those students enrolled in regularly scheduled off-campus classes, field laboratory experiences, or internships, who have paid the University Activity Fee, may be eligible to have a portion of the medical care costs covered by the Student Health Clinic’s schedule of off-campus benefits. Inquire at the Student Health Clinic for further information. Students are encouraged to purchase student health insurance. Call Health Services 688-5588, West Hall for more information.
