Course Objectives

The primary goals of this course are (1) to introduce you to the psychological research on the development of gender identity and the effects on individuals of gender stereotypes and (2) to help you to apply critical thinking skills to this research.   I also hope that you will learn to use these critical thinking skills in evaluating other materials dealing with other areas, particularly those which end in "ism."
