SEXUAL HARASSMENT ON THE
COLLEGE CAMPUS
Purpose: This exercise involves researching the policy regarding
sexual harassment on your campus.
Instructions: Go to
SDSU Human
Resources Website and obtain a copy of the policy regarding sexual harassment
on your campus. Compare this policy with the description of the Equal Employment
Opportunity Commission’s guidelines given in your text. Then answer the
following questions.

Who is covered by this policy? Faculty? Students? Administrators? Staff?

How is quid pro quo harassment (i.e., unwanted sexual advances as a condition
of employment, promotion, etc.) identified? Are any examples provided?

How is a hostile work environment identified and addressed? List any examples.

How is gender-based harassment (behaviors that are not explicitly sexual)
identified and addressed?

What are the procedures for filing a complaint?

How are complaints handled? Which campus organizations, departments, and/or
