Friday, October 20, 2000, marked the 20th annual Festival of Cultures. Each year, the International Relations Club expects thousands of visitors and hundreds of participants. This year wasn't any different with more than 3000 visitors.

Participants sponsored culturally related food booths, commercial booths and cultural displays. Each participant promoted cultural diversity and education by being a part of the Festival. Throughout the day, the International Relations Club provided entertainment for visitors with student performances, musical groups and dancers.

The 2000 entertainment included the international students fashion parade, Angie Rolling, a South American folk dancer, and others. Angie is a standard in the IRC's entertainment lineup and always puts on a great performance.

No matter what one's taste in music or food is, the Festival of Cultureshad plenty to offer. Food booths ranged from French and Thai to Bangladesh and India and everything in between.

The IRC has already begun planning for the 21st annual Festival of Cultures in 2001. If you'd like to become part of a growing event, please contact the International Relations Club.
