Textbooks for Math courses for Fall 2009
Students are expected to have the appropriate textbook available for use on the first day of class. In order to assist you with this, below is a list of required textbooks for each math class. These books are also available in the University Bookstore. Look for textbooks at the bookstore at this site: http://www.sdstatebookstore.com/
If you choose to purchase books elsewhere, please heed these tips:

1) Purchase the correct edition (for example: 3rd edition). If there is no edition listed, it is assumed to be the first edition.
2) Do not get an Instructor’s edition. Some have more answers than a student book; others have fewer! Students who purchase instructor’s editions, usually find them annoying.
3) If your course requires an on-line homework system, this is usually packaged with a new book at the Bookstore. If you purchase a used book, you will need to purchase access to the on-line system separately. This is often available for purchase with a credit card on line.
4) If you are buying software, make sure it is current and unused.
