Summer Program in Quantitative Sciences at the Harvard School of Public Health

The Summer Program is an intensive 4-week program, during which highly qualified undergraduates receive a whirlwind introduction to the fields of biostatistics and epidemiology and to the use of quantitative methods for biological, environmental, public health, and medical research. Room and board, travel, and a living stipend of approximately $1700/month is provided. Other requirements: be a US citizen or permanent resident (proof of permanent residency must be provided) ; from a member of a group that is underrepresented in graduate education (African American, Hispanic/Latino, American Indian/Alaskan Natives, Pacific Islander or Multiracial/Biracial).;OR a first-generation college student (neither parent or legal guardian has a bachelor's degree) as defined by the U.S.Department of Education; OR a low-income student as defined by the U.S. Department of Education.

Carleton College Summer Mathematics Program for Women Undergraduates

George Washington Summer Program for Undergraduate Women
A five-week (June 26-- July 31, 2010) intensive program for mathematically talented undergraduate women who are completing their junior year and may be contemplating graduate study in mathematical sciences. Sixteen women will be selected. Each will receive a travel allowance, campus room and board, and a stipend of $1,750.
Application deadline is March 1, 2010. Early applications are encouraged.
Summer Institute for Mathematics at the University of Washington
Six TA's are hired to live in the dorm with talented High School Students, helping them with their math and social activites. They also meet separately with instructors for UW to work on math related to the mathematics studied by the students.

Summer Institute for Training in Biostatistics

This program at University of Wisconsin, Madison, gives undergraduate students majoring in the quantitative sciences the opportunity to explore a career in biostatistics and bioinformatics emphasizing applications in both basic and clinical research.

University of Nebraska Lincoln Immerse program

Through this program, mathematics and computer science majors in their junior/senior years may spend one or two semesters in Budapest and study under the tutelage of eminent Hungarian scholar-teachers. The instructors of Budapest Semesters in Mathematics are members of Eotvos University and the Mathematical Institute of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, the two institutions known for having educated more than half of Hungary's highly acclaimed mathematicians. Most instructors have had teaching experience in North America and are familiar with the cultural differences. All courses are taught in English.

The announcement (application and instructions) for the student Fellowship/Scholarship Stipend Program sponsored by the NASA SD Space Grant Consortium is now posted online at the following website. Under this announcement, undergraduate and graduate students enrolled at SD institutions of higher education may apply for stipends for Fall ’08, Spring ’09, and/or Summer ’09.
