CTE 430/530 Cooperative Education

 

Course Description

This course emphasizes the organization and coordination of cooperative work experience in career and technical education programs to include agricultural education, marketing education, health occupations, family and consumer sciences, business education, and trade and industrial education.  Priority is placed on strategies and techniques for coordinating classroom instruction with work-based learning experiences.  Topics include, but are not limited to: program organization, school-based and work-based coordination and responsibilities, student selection, placement conditions and criteria, advisory councils, public relation efforts, training stations and related job aids infusion, legal and liability aspects and concerns, program and student assessment and evaluation.
