URSCAD Spring Semester- April 10, 2008
Undergraduate Research, Scholarship, and Creative Activity Day
Undergraduate Research, Scholarship, and Creative Activity Day provides undergraduates with a venue for presentation of scholarly activities conducted in the preceding year. The opportunity to participate is open to all undergraduates in all departments. Presentation format should be appropriate to the area of concentration, and accommodations for various formats will be arranged. Examples include the typical scientific poster, displays of art or media works, and audio or visual presentations of materials/projects/performing arts. Presentations can be viewed, for the most part, throughout the day, with designated times for specific presentations or activities scheduled as needed. All students are also encouraged to submit their presentations to SDSU’s Undergraduate Research Journal (UG-Journal). The Undergraduate Research Journal will be published on a yearly basis. All undergraduates conducting research at SDSU may submit their results for publication in the journal.
Undergraduates participating in the Nelson Undergraduate Mentorship Program present the projects on which they worked.
All individuals or groups are encouraged to sponsor the event by aiding the promotion, submitting monetary donations for small awards, or committing time of individuals/ departments/ groups to help organize, promote, set up, and/or clean up.
All faculty are encouraged to participate in the event through panel discussions, class requirements, mentoring of undergraduate researchers and in any manner possible.
